The Importance of Estate Planning /
While everyone needs an estate plan, people commonly put off creating one until some unexpected life event adds a sense of urgency to the matter. Such an event can include welcoming a new baby, experiencing a medical emergency, or losing a loved one. Even then, many people think that a person only really needs a will and not a complete estate plan. However, as exemplified in this American Bar Association article, 10 Things Estate Planning Can Do for You, a comprehensive estate plan is crucial in planning for incapacity and death. We encourage everyone to take the time to establish an optimized estate plan to prepare for unexpected life events, instead of in response to them. Angela Hahn, at Werge & Hahn LLC, would be happy to discuss with you your unique situation and how to establish an estate plan that best fits your needs.
