Werge Law Group has a robust practice in litigation and dispute resolution. We practice before all state and federal courts in Colorado, before various administrative bodies, and in arbitrations and mediations. We handle the full spectrum of the litigation process, from pleadings, to discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, and all the way through trial. We handle cases both big and small, and are committed providing efficient and high quality representation for our clients.

Our litigation practice is focused on representing businesses and individuals in commercial matters, including contract disputes, and business divorce / partnership breakups. In addition, our practice includes a wide range of other areas of litigation, including copyright and trademark infringement, employment, professional liability and malpractice, enforcement and defense of commercial judgments, bankruptcy nondischaregability, real estate, construction, civil rights, insurance, personal injury and product liability defense, non-profit, insurance and financial-industry litigation, and local counsel representation.   • Alarcon v. Alpine, No. 2020CV31074 (Colo. Dist. Arapahoe Feb. 20, 2024) (after successfully defending clients at trial brought former business partner seeking millions of dollars, obtained post-trial reversal of award of attorney fees for business partner, with fees instead awarded to clients).

  • LEC v. Critical Facility, JAMS Case ID No. 25524 (Nov. 23, 2022) (won award for Colorado manufacturer in longstanding dispute with Asian joint venture partner, including achieving termination of the relationship between the parties and an award of damages).

  • Peterson v. Kaweske, No. 2019CV30229 (Colo. Dist. El Paso, Feb. 16, 2022) (obtained complete defense jury verdict for business-related defamation claim, together with award of attorney fees against plaintiff for pursuing frivolous and groundless claims).

  • Higher Yields Consulting v. North Lincoln Cultivation, JAMS Case ID No. 27792 (Dec. 13, 2021) (won arbitration award including attorney fees for breach of consulting contract following final hearing).

  • WBI Management v. Gaber, FINRA Dispute Resolution Services #19-03430 (Nov. 5, 2020) (obtained arbitration award including attorney fees in business divorce over financial practice following final hearing).

  • Greene v. Frontier, No. 2019CA0811 (Colo. App. Aug. 13, 2020) (affirming dismissal obtained in Denver District Court and awarding appellate attorney fees).

  • Mondragon v. Nosrak LLC, 2020 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 82934, 2020 WL 2395641, No. 19-cv-01437-CMA-NRN (D. Colo. May 11, 2020) (entering sanctions against opposing copyright troll).

  • Pennington v. Fastest Labs of S. Denver, No. 2019CV31180 (Colo. Dist. Arapahoe, Aug. 15, 2019) (won dismissal of all claims).

  • Moskowitz v. Dahlman, No. 2017CV30522 (Colo. Dist. Denver, Apr. 20, 2018) (obtained verdict against former business partner at jury trial).

  • New Economy Funding Solutions v. Diamond Rose Shears, No. 2015CV30624 (Colo. Dist. Douglas, Feb. 1, 2016) (prevailed on motion to vacate arbitration award).
