Kristine Castillo is a rising 3L at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She graduated from Florida State University in 2022 with a double major in English: Editing, Writing, and Media, and Public Health, along with a minor in the Philosophy of Science. She successfully defended her undergraduate honors thesis titled “Gender Identity, Liminal Spaces: A Study on Gender Identity in Midwest Emo.” During law school, Kristine has been actively involved in several organizations. She serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Sports and Entertainment Society, Press Secretary for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. She also works as a Student Assistant for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Social Justice Initiatives at DU Law. In her 2L year, she served as a student attorney in the Community Economic Development Clinic and President of the DU Law Outdoor Club. Outside of law school, Kristine enjoys music, yoga, skating, and spending time with friends.
