She's at it again, Folks!
Kelsey Martin has been elected President of the Colorado LGBTQ+ Bar Association (CLBA) for the 2026 term. This is not only a significant personal achievement, but also a meaningful moment for our firm, and the broader legal community.
Kelsey’s leadership journey with the CLBA began in 2023, when she stepped into the role of Mentorship Chair. Recognizing a need to strengthen connections across generations of LGBTQ+ attorneys, she founded and launched the CLBA’s mentorship program. What began as an idea quickly grew into a cornerstone initiative for the organization, creating opportunities for law students, early-career attorneys, and seasoned practitioners to build relationships, share guidance, and support one another in navigating the profession.
Her work over the past several years reflects a deep commitment to community-building and professional development. Those same values will guide her as she leads the organization through the coming year.
As President, Kelsey plans to focus on expanding collaboration across the legal community, particularly by strengthening partnerships with other diversity bar associations. By working together, these organizations can create more opportunities for connection, shared programming, and collective advocacy within the profession.
She also aims to broaden the range of events offered by the CLBA to better serve its diverse membership and foster meaningful engagement. Planned programming will include everything from judicial continuing legal education (CLE) events and mentorship happy hours - to community celebrations like the annual Gay-La, drag brunches, sports outings, and creative gatherings such as bonsai and pottery classes. By offering a wider variety of experiences, Kelsey hopes to create spaces where members can connect professionally, and personally.
Her leadership also highlights our firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting organizations that advance diversity, mentorship, and community within the legal field. We are thrilled to see Kelsey step into this role and look forward to the impact she will make over the coming year.
Please join us in congratulating Kelsey (and bending the knee) on this well-deserved achievement!
